High School Scholarship
Delta Upsilon's vision and purpose as a fraternity is to "build better men" - something we take very seriously.
As the UofA’s only non-secret fraternity, a student group founded on the basis of merit, we feel that it is our responsibility to promote a culture of excellence not just within our own organization, but throughout the entire University of Alberta campus, regardless of affiliation.
Through the Paul Cantor High School Scholarship, we aim to celebrate the achievements of recent high school graduates and empower these young men as they begin their university experience.
Scholarship applicants will be interviewed in early September and evaluated based on four main selection criteria - all of which will be weighted equally when determining the recipient:
Academic Achievement
Based on admission average to the U of A
Extracurricular Involvement
Both depth of experience and diversity of experience
Volunteering and work experience
Interview and Application Performance
Other Awards and Achievements
The application deadline is August 30th at 11:59PM. Candidates will be contacted to schedule an interview time in late August or early September.
$500 will be awarded to the winner of the scholarship, regardless of affiliation or intention to join. The remaining $500 will be awarded if the winner chooses to pledge Delta Upsilon.
